Have you ever seen a pivoting glass door that is almost as high as a three-level home? Well, you have to see this contemporary home in Antwerp, Belgium, to believe it.
The home is a renovation project of Pieter Peerlings and Silvia Mertens of Sculp, and it features a full glass rear façade with enormous custom-made pivoting glass doors. Abundant light is definitely a great feature of the home because this glass façade exposes three levels of the structure. The beautiful outdoor views also provide great continuity with the home’s interior design.
The glass doors, which are said to be the world’s largest, measure 3m in width and 6m in height and weigh 2,000kg each. Do not be fooled by the dimensions, though; these doors can be opened using just one finger!
Amazing, right? Check out more photos of this breathtaking contemporary Antwerp home here.
