Here at Mr. Rogers Windows and Doors, one of our company missions is to give back to the community whenever we can. We know how tough life can be sometimes. Recently, Mr Rogers and his team donated their time and expertise helping a local senior maintain and improve her home in the best way they know how…
By installing new windows!
When members of an area church alerted Mr. Rogers about the needs of one of his past customers, he– and his employees– stepped up to help. This elderly woman and her husband had purchased windows from Mr. Rogers Windows and Doors years ago, but hadn’t yet replaced all of the windows in their home that they wanted to. When she became a widow, not only was it beyond her budget to replace the remaining windows, keeping up with her yard and home also became more of a challenge.
Mr. Rogers was able to offer the church a discount so that they could generously purchase the windows for the senior homeowner. Mr. Rogers and his team then volunteered to install the windows for free and they also took care of some needed maintenance projects while at the woman’s home.
The wonderful thing about giving back is that the volunteers benefit just as much as the recipient. As Mr. Rogers and his team installed and cleaned windows, repaired damage from a downed tree and raked and bagged up wet leaves, they had the pleasure to get know a beautiful member of the community. They spent a morning not just working to help someone in need, but enriching their own lives too by talking with her and finding out more about her life.
