Imagine living in a house that is incredibly eco-friendly without sacrificing luxury. A featured home in Norway utilizes 1,614 square feet of solar panels on its roof that produce three times the energy the house needs. However, the extra energy does not simply go to waste. It is used for the home’s outdoor luxuries, including a swimming pool and sauna.
The two-story eco-friendly home was made possible by Norway’s Research Centre on Zero Emission Buildings and Snohetta, a distinguished international architectural firm. In addition to the solar panels, the house is also designed with a tilted roof that maximizes sun exposure and makes rain collection and use more efficient. It also utilizes eco-friendly materials, such as recycled wood for its gorgeous interiors.
