Is your glass door knob squeaking? There may be rust building up underneath. If it’s not addressed early on, it could make that squeaking sound even worse and eventually make it tough to open your door. Here are some very easy ways to fix squeaky glass door knobs:
- Tighten the screws of the glass door knob. Sometimes loose screws can be the cause of the squeaking.
- Lubricate the glass door knob in place. If there is still a squeaking sound after all the screws have been tightened, spray a bit of penetrating oil lubricant to the seam of the knob where the plate rests. Turn the knob back and forth to distribute the oil. If there is still squeaking, reapply oil lubricant.
- Remove the glass door knob. If the squeaking persists after the application of oil lubricant, remove the glass door knob and apply lubricant to all its moving parts. Replace the knob.
