Well-insulated windows and doors, sealed drafts, an insulated attic, and more – you may have done all of these things to keep your home warm during winter. But you can still make your home, especially your bedroom, even warmer and cozier by dressing your windows with insulated curtains. These curtains will help prevent the cold from going through your windows, as well as trap heat inside your room.
If you have some spare time, you can easily make insulated curtains yourself as a weekend project. All you need to prepare are four pieces of fabric that are of equal size (be sure to measure your window first); two pieces of thin quilt batting, which are the same size as your fabric; and some doy thread. Once you have these materials, you can make your own insulated curtains following the instructions here.
