Glass doors can be prone to scratches, especially if you have pets. Dogs, most especially, can scuff at a glass door and scratch it. To remove unsightly scratches, you don’t always need to spend wads of cash to hire a professional to do it for you. You can remove some small and lighter scratches yourself in just three easy steps.
Do It Yourself suggests the following steps for removing scratches from a glass door:
- Clean the glass with a mild glass cleaner and wipe off with a rag or lint-free paper towel;
- Fill and treat the scratches using a whitening toothpaste and a lamb’s wool scrubbing pad applied in circular motion; and
- Wash the glass door using a soft sponge with ammonia water and dried with lint-free towel.
Even if the scratches do not completely disappear, you should at least notice that the marks are less visible.
