What should you do when your blinds are stuck in the open position? When this happens, either your rod is stuck so that the slats of your blinds cannot be closed or your blinds are stuck at the top so that you are not able to lower them when needed.
To solve these problems, try the following suggestions:
- For blinds whose slats cannot be closed, it is possible that the rod you use to control the opening and closing of the slats is no longer connected with its interior tilting mechanism. You can fix this problem by simply opening the valance on top of the blinds and pushing up the tilting rod until you see that it connects with its interior tilting mechanism.
- For blinds that are stuck at the top, the gears that control the raising and releasing of the blinds may need some lubrication. Open the valance, find those gears, and spray some lubricant on them until they work well again.
